Japan National team appearing their fifth FIFA world cup.  First appearance was in 1998. They were the champions of Asia Cup for four times (1992, 2000, 2004 and 2011). And they were the runners in Confederation Cup 2001.  Japan played their first international match against China in 1917 and China had defeated Japan by 5-0. The same year they were defeated by Philippines by 15-2, which is the biggest defeat of Japan. Japan maid their biggest victory in 1967 against Philippines the score was 15-0. On 2nd June 2014, Japan defeated Costa Rica by 4-3 in an international friendly match from Raymond James Stadium, Tampa, Florida, United States.
